1988 - 2008 : Already 20 years !
The beginning of 2008 was marked by the arrival of twelve students, from the American continent, captivated by the influence of French culture. Armed with the determination to learn the language and the culture, they arrived in Montpellier, "the city where the sun never sets", which has always been an idyllic place, for language programs. The IMLS Institute supported them step by step in their effort to integrate into the life of Montpellier and offered them a different way of learning. Indeed, students had the opportunity to enroll as volunteers in order to enrich their unique experience (retirement home, association for handicapped people, rehabilitation center for children and adolescents. Through accomodation by host families, thanks to the IMLS, and participation in city life as volunteers, the students benefited from a real exchange, rather than being just academic tourists.
